When fighting an enemy with superior resources, it is not the time to question the motives of your enemy's enemies. Al Qaeda made a disastrous mistake of fighting Shias as infidels, and other Sunnis who did not support their strict version of Sharia. They succeeded in turning their enemy's enemies into their enemies as well. I don't believe that Al Qaeda can recover from this mistake.

The Palestinians are being relentlessly -although ever so gradually- exterminated by the Israelis. They cannot afford to question the merits or the morals of whatever party wishes to support their struggle for survival and restitution. However, nothing could please the "Juden uber alles" crowd in the United States more than the opportunity, which this would present them, to paint the Palestinian Struggle with the colors of Al Qaeda.

Bin Laden, ever since the beginning of OEF has been reduced to essentially sending the United States electronic hate mail. Al Qaida went from being able to "bringing the terror home" to doing nothing more than cause mid level terrorist attacks in the middle east and sending us video tapes. Personally, I am not afraid - the last message he sent us was a "final warning" to give up our imperialist policies and turn to Islam or face the consequences, what was what? four or five months ago?

"It also reminds us that the mission to defeat al-Qaida in Iraq is critically important and must succeed," Fratto said. "The Iraqi people - every day, and in increasing numbers - are choosing freedom and standing against the murderous, hateful ideology of AQI. And we stand with them."

I remain PROUDLY STANDING with Our President in the waging of this "War On Terror!" Of course, many of the U.S. Populace work to promote and ensure OBL's views prevail!

- That's their right; because, we're a FREE PEOPLE! Others aren't so lucky!

- We live in the "Greatest Country" on earth and I go out and "EMBRACE" its Greatness Every Day. I Hope others do too!

And, for those who claim we're NOT ON THE OFFENSIVE against al-Qaeda -- the Terrorists responsible for "9/11" attacks -- with our Military Operations in IRAQ; then, I believe OBL's own words COUNTER THAT CLAIM.

To what level you are afraid is personal.
But OBL has managed to keep large part of the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan, include its allies military as well as start to fragment the NATO efforts in Afghanistan via the Taliban.
Add to that help the US build up a huge deficit in economic terms.

So start being scared as the US economy is the US’s weak link and its problems ripple through out the world, eg the subprime debacle at present.

bin Laden and his supporters are full of crap.

They claim to be religious "holy warriors" yet their aims are purely sectarian.

They feel their influence in Iraq (small as it was) waning; so he's attempting to try to keep up support. No cause, no jihad; they're being rejected by fellow Sunnis, more of whom are not extremists.

A stable Iraq - no matter who stabilizes it - does not foster the flourishing of his kind.

Moral: Terrorists can kill, maim, disrupt - but they can never WIN.

They cannot operate openly. They cannot govern. All they can do is what they do: Hide in the shadows, strike without warning, and hide once more. They are cowards.

We've wasted way too much time and energy on these losers. We should have sneaked up on them like they sneaked up on us, struck them down, and went about our business. A terrorist is not, and never will be, the equal of our men and women of the armed forces. For anyone to believe otherwise is granting them power and respect that they do not deserve, nor will ever deserve.

UBL keeps trying to keep the Sunnis in line with threats. Seems to me that they respond better to actual engagement. Like when US officials meet with them in person to pursue cooperation. Y'know like when Bush travelled to Anbar. UBL prob'ly didn't notice as he was busy flea-bombing his cave at the time.. (gee, I hope he remembered to adequately ventillate.) Maybe if HE were to travel to Anbar for some face time....

Is it just me or does Bin Plottin' and al-Qaeda seem to be on the run and now grasping at straws? I believe that the Sunni groups that have now allied with US and MNC forces have been a real kick in the azz for BL. I also believe that if Bhutto had not been assassinated, there was a strong likelihood she would have taken the reins in Pakistan and BL would have been captured shortly afterwards. Al Quada is in its dying throes and attempting desperate measures to stay out in front.

EXACTLY! As for the flea-bombing, I imagine he doesn't really mind the fleas, he just wanted to bomb something that wouldn't bomb back. IMO he's becoming quite the passive aggressive,, y'know, psychatrist-speak for CHICKEN S#!+

They have always been on the run. They can never live another day as men in the light. This is the best they can do. al Zawahiri cannot go back to Egypt, and bin Laden to Saudi Arabia. They are hated, despised men, looking to seek support among the weak and susceptible - people whose lives have no other meaning or purpose. Those are the ones who fall for suicide bombing. They foolishly believe that they will find a place in Heaven, when the Quran teaches proper Muslims that suicide puts them in the express lane to Hell.

Both these guys painted themselves into a corner long ago, and want to drag everyone else into their nook of misery.

Western logic is not compatable with the eastern mind. The whole basis of the eastern frame of reference is, as you see in this article, emotion. Logic be damned. So don't try to reason with the eastern cultures. When you finally get OSB. keep him alive. Put him at "ground zero", chain him to a mic. and let him rant and rave all he wants. Surround him with live pigs and pork dishes, as-well-as bottles of rum. To support this effort, I will
balloons filled with pig excrement and sell them to the public to throw at him.

His role fighting with the muj in Afghanistan was hyped. He wasn't really a fighter; he used his money and education to fund and organize mujahideen for the fight. I'd bet he never fired a shot in anger.

Assuming he's still alive, if we capture him, he'll sing like a canary. The first thing he'd do is talk about all the support he and the others got from the US during the Soviet war. Then he'd probably start pontificating about his titfortat he played with us over the crimes he determined we committed.

In the end, he'll still be on the wrong side of the argument. I'd love to see him spend the rest of his life in one of our Supermax prisons. I wouldn't waste time torturing him. That'd take the wind out of the sails of all these penny-ante criminals who think they're the equal of our military. They're ants.
