Man Guilty of Lying About Service

http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,13319,159069,00.html

Maybe this guy will do his time in Leavenworth, get to know some of the "gang"... really well.

If there are people like him who will go to that length to "be" a Veteran, then I guess it would be a pretty small thing to fake Veteran's status on some sort of "Military Blog", ya think?

I like what the whistleblower had to say about this DOLT:

Steve Oatney, former State Veterans Service Director for AMVETS in Tacoma, is the whistleblower who notified the VA about MacBeth’s fraudulent claim for service connected disabilities that he filed with the VA in 2005.

“Mr. Jesse MacBeth, fake veteran, coward, fraud and woman batterer was taken into custody by federal officials. This is in response to a fraudulent claim for service connected disabilities that he filed with the VA in 2005. On behalf of all veterans I am happy to have done my part bringing this fraud to Justice. He deserves to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

And then some.

By the way?

He ain't no Liberal, he ain't anything. In fact, there was a reporter who was the "Conservative Darling" until he was found out to also be a sex-freak and lying sack-o-crap, planted in the White House Press Room WITH ready to ask questions???

Of course, it's only "Liberal Darlings" that so traumatize our system of government, right? C'mon you guys... why the need to crucify all, for the illegal and insane actions of one absolute-loser...?

I am a Democrat and that means I am also a "Liberal", but more importantly I would fight side by side with ANY Veteran and against the enemies of The United States. So why can't we all try to remember that... eh?

I wonder if this SOB was one of the Hanoi Jane followers back in the 60's? For you newer members the troops returning during those days were labeled 'baby killers' by the anti war types, insulted , spat upon and demeaned in many ways by the liberal establishment.
Now he wants to reap the benifits others fought and died for. Have him to go to VA hospitals and apoligize to real vets.

This is a scumbag that needs to be sent to Leavenworth to meet "the Gang." I certainly have more respect for most inmates there than this piece of dung.

Again... I was one of those who PROTESTED that war, but then when my time came I enlisted, I did not run, I did my duty as I saw that duty.

Might add that my father was a Roosevelt Democrat (and Army Veteran in New Guinea and the P.I.)until the day he died(1998), and he hated that war as well. But he also saw 3 of his sons serve there and was proud of all of us.

Stop with all the damn "Liberals did it all". Those were PUNKS spitting on my brother when he came home from Nam in 69, not "Liberals".

Holy poo-poo, Batman. This dork is from my hometown. He should hope that he doesn't run into the vets I know up there.

And that fake Jesse dude looks like a cry-baby and not a soldier.

I wonder if he may have not been found out without his claims to have been awarded two (one's not enough) Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star...

I guess just faking having been in the service wasn't good enough, he had to be a hero. Seems that's how most of them are found out these days. But it also makes me wonder how many keep a low profile and still manage to scam their way through the VA system...

Seems like this gent was so dissatisfied with his life that he had to create one. I guess he didn't realize that his lie would be crapping on the real heroes. I agree that he should pull some time in Leavenworth and also have to visit VA hospitals to apoligize to the real heroes. What he did is shamefull, disgusting and dishonorable.

A Retired CPO and RVN Vet. with service in the first Gulf War (1979).

He agreed to pay restitution, You don't get to agree to anything. Pay the fine and make restitution or stay in jail.

With no service of any kind this man is the worst of the worst because he tried to become one us without paying his dues. Fry his bones then tack what is left to the urinal screens.

The STOLEN VALOR Act was enacted to punish "wanna-be's"
for just such leeches. We as a nation need to GET over the liberal/conservative name calling when it comes to criminals like this and ensure they get exposed, arrested, tried & convicted for these heinous acts against our genuine military community.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of a new chapter in American History where these phonies get exposed on a regular basis, especially when it comes to running for political office or unlawful reception of DVA
benefits.

I don't know that I'd put the individual that is the subject of this post in the same class as Jessie. True, Jessie also falsified his DD214 (issued upon his involuntary early release during training) to include qualifications and s/m that he wasn't entitled to, but he (Jessie) deserves special condemnation for his allegations -- presented on behalf of Iraq Veterans Against the War (who deserve some criticism for not vetting Jessie before putting him out on camera) -- of criminal behavior and misconduct while stationed in Iraq.

Allegations of misconduct ["self-incriminatory"] by Jessie, himself, and "fellow" servicemembers, against civilians in-theater -- which, of course, would be difficult to have occurred since Jessie didn't even make it through training.

Gee, do you really think anyone would do that? Bloggers don't get any benefits from the VA or the military. Do you suppose that it would be enough for their warped egos and sense of inflated self-worth to impersonate a military veteran? Go figure! As for the Canadian, I hope you get the full year in Leavenworth so you can taste American military "hospitality" before going home to the land of American "deserters".

The man should be made to do community service at a VA hospital, helping recovering veterans.
Just my opinion!

I wonder what he scammed from a VA Hosp, if restitution is only $2,000. or so. Couldn't have been more than a sit down with a counselor or some aspirin. Enrollment of a new vet in Hosp system involves records check after the vet's copy of DD 214 is presented. That just starts the process. Reason I know, I was a vo;lunteer data entry clerk when the sh...hit the fan when VA solicited enrollments of Category 8 vets to be able to bill third party insurance for care but offer drug benefit to patient not covered by his/her insurance.
