The Great White Fleet demonstrated the effort made by Roosevelt to create a modern Navy and by extention make America a world power. Unfortunatly, by the time the fleet completed its voyage it was being made obsolete by HMS Dreadnought.
 Ironically, by the outbreak of WWI, Dreadnought was, in turn made obsolete by so called super dreadnoughts such as Pennsylvania and Arizona wich were under construction and would, by 1916 join the fleet.   |
