If this isn't proof positive that this so-called Speaker of the House (3rd in line to the Presidency) is really one person out-of-touch with reality. Unless she can base her assertions to clear bases in fact, then she has shown herself to be a very dangerous divisor to her constituency as well as to this Nation. I, for one, do not buy for a minute that this sitting President has a diabolical & deliberate lust for war, & committing our military men & women to be put in harm's way. This being stated, unless she can prove her assertions, then she should apologize to this Nation & its President; then either step down from this very high office of responsibility, or be forthwith removed from it by the responsible members of her party. Its the only way that her party can demonstrate to this Nation that they can & do have the ability to clearly & effectively right this egregious & most rash statement....

Here's a "revelation" Ms. Speaker, you're not in Berserkeley anymore. It isn't 1969 and despite your daydreams our enemies have no compunction against attacking us, here, whenever they can.
History will ultimately show whether we could turn Iraq aside from a course of violent dictatorship to democratic self-rule. If we are successful it won't be your fault.
To say what I really feel would be a disservice to the south end of north-bound horses everywhere.

Her comments are so out-of-touch with reality, I'd be very surprised to find any of the liberal partisans here agreeing with her...

We all hate war, but it's a necessary evil. We (conservatives) all want out of Iraq, but only after the job is done, and without timelines.

Isn't this the same dip stick who went to Syria and was paraded around like a cheap whore? An ole saying goes I thought you were stupid until you started talking, Now I know you are.

She doesn't realize all demo's do not follow her line and if she looked behind her she would find a very short line. It makes me sick to think of her or any of her ilk runing this country.
She needs to be put with a box of rocks for collective intelligence. Another ole saying she has a battle ship mouth and an row boat brain.

God Bless the fire eaters

ok so i read more.

"I shouldn't say they like the war," she said. "They support the war, the course of action that the president is on."

maybe she should choose her words alittle more carefully. i mean, isnt that part of being a politician. making sure you say exactly what you mean. liking the war and supporting the war are two completely different things. please get your head out of your a$$

I should know better, reading any of the drivel that comes out of her mouth. I though my head would explode.

Honestly, I'm not sure any politician is in touch with what mainstream america wants. They ALL seem to pander to their extremes.

In no way do I agree with The Honorable Speaker's comments. I almost got that out without choking.

It`s simple GW `s not on the ballot next time around,so the dems have to portray all the Repubs as war mongers and some how show Iraq as a complete failure. In other words it`sw time for "that depends on the definition of is!"
