Mat God preserve all our fallen warriors.

One should also reflect on the reasons why Japan launched this attack. It is a question rarely asked. The answer would be surprising.

Google or Ask "Chino-Japanese War" or, simply "Why did Japan attack at Pearl Harbor?"

A good story. Let us not forget the lessons of the past.
May god in his infinite mercy embrace those who gave the last full measure of devotion.

Present Arms.

Bless those that were killed and our men that defended this country. I am distressed that the newspapers, TV etc. has made no mention of Pearl Harbor and I have been been up since 5am with the news on TV.
God Bless all that served in WW2.

O YOU AMERICA!
By Oliver Mbamara Esq.

O you America, home of the brave,
Guided on all corners day and night,
By the Lord's armor of immortal soldiers,
Gallant men of daring feat and chivalry,
In robes of light and stripes of white,
Crowned in stars and fed in spirit.
Though your foes your surface scratch,
They never shall touch your heart within.

O you America, land of the free,
Your Star Spangled Banner ever waves,
Cheerfully over the terrace of love,
Where all together strive to freely live,
In peace and harmony of brotherhood,
Saluting your symbol of freedom won,
The ever so standing 'Old Glory'
Of a nation indivisible under God.

O you America, country of God,
In whom we trust, and have our being.
A land rescued by heaven's hand,
Richly blessed with men and women,
Of color and races variously made,
With talents and wealth equally given.
Even though some may think you foe,
You America, will always be loved.

Their lives, our freedom.
I am ever grateful, thank you.

We will never forget their sacrifice, nor the greatest generation who avenged them when an enemy "woke up a sleeping giant"!

Every year it gets further and further from the minds of most people. Soon it will become just a story in the history books like so many others. To be honest, when I took my wife to Gettysburg, and we stood atop of Little Round Top peering out on the field, that once was one of the most ferocious battles during the Civil War, my wife began crying. For it was there that around 10,000 Americans died fighting for their country and what they strongly believed in. It is seldom ever mentioned in a classroom of these men that lost their lives those first few days of the Battle of Gettysyburg, why, who knows, it may be because time has past or because they were enemy combatants and not Northerners. Or simply because people just are so wrapped up into this politically correct attitude these days. Pearl Harbor has been sold off and bought out by the same people that bombed it 66 years ago. So, I would assume they got what they were after.

Here is a sad observation.I work in an office in which there are several foreign born employees. If I asked any of them the date of the Pearl Harbor attack, they would probably know it. If I asked the same question of any of those born in this country, they probably would not even know the century in which it happened. They would defend their ignorance with a comment such as " Why should I have to know something like that?"

Few who have been in the military...few who know the history can stand atop the USS Arizona and not shed a tear for those sailors hat pounded and shrieked cries for help until the end.

May the good Lord bless those who have gone on, may we never forget those who have fought for our freedoms and may the Lord bless the living breathing warriors wherever they may be in these new battles, God Bless you, God bless all of you.

You are absolutely correct. Two of my oldest grandchildren, 8 and 10 st and watch the military channel all the time. They are well versed on subjects from the Civil War on up. I t strikes me when my granddaughter says how sad it was how those guys had it during WWI. That shows me she is paying attention. My point is this. We as adults have to keep the flame lit for our youth. We can't depend on teachers to do it. Most of them are liberals and pacifists and feel teaching them history about war related issues is in the wrong direction. So it is up to us to teach them the history of what we as well as our fathers before us went through.

I shall never forget the sacrifices of those brave men on that fateful day and I will make darned sure my grandkids don't either! In a few more years, there won't be any of the survivors left and it will be up to us to sustain the memory of what happened on that terrible Sunday morning. May those that perished December 7th, 1941 rest ever in peace.
