If Turkey does invade, I hope the PKK gets in a few hundred good kills against the repressive turkish regime who's ultimate goal would be genocide

I don't. Another war would not be good--we would undoubtedly be dragged into it. This is a no-win situation for us.

I hope not. What an awful day to start a war.

I agree. Turkey could get cut by setting their table in Iraq on ThanksGiving.

Seriously, it'll take some serious diplomacy to convince them not to defend themselves.

Considering I am part Armenian I hope the Turks stuff the PPK with nuts.

Does anyone know why the Turks take their garbage out in clear plastic garbage bags?

So the PPK can window shop!

Don't look now, but we are all ready in it. Besides, we are suppose to be providing security for Iraq anyway.

I have much admiration for the Turkish troops for showing such a high degree of restraint under the circumstances. The PPK is in for a rude awakening for their misgivings. I sure hope they get what they deserve very soon.

While the EU ministers are at it maybe they'll get around to telling Iran not use its soil for violent staging areas against its neighbors.

restraint??? hell they are oppressing the kurds in turkey classified as second class citizens and anyhow they started this mess by shelling a kurd village in iraq.... at this time there are only 3000 pkk members.,.. and like i said before if turkey would stop oppressing the kurds and treat them not as second class citizens the pkk would disappear.... the ppk are very media friendly often having the media coming out on training maneuvers with them... they say they want turkey to treat their people better... thats all they are fighting for now... their marxist stuff is gone now.... not even an issue anymore they just want to live as free people...

And if they kept going, they might help us clean up the rest of the country . . . SmileAlittle help wouldn't come amiss . . and the quicker the insurgency is defeated, the safer and more stable Iraq becomes. And that ought to be good news. Smile

I think we should just start the draft again. We can take all of these people we have locked up, give them a uniform and weapon, fly them over to the middle east, drop them off, and say; "HAVE AT IT! IT'S ALL YOURS!" After that whole region is cleaned up, we bring back the ones who are still alive, and give them back their freedom!

It's like a big pressure cooker with some jackazz turning up the heat. I think all the borders that existed before colonialism, should be restored. No good ever comes from taking a people hostage.

I like the way you think! Why is it so important to keep boundaries and maps drawn up by the Brits and French after WWI??
