I am sorry to see Fran Townsend leave and I agree that the term "Islamic Fascists"(President Bush)was appropriate in some terms as "...it is a form of radical extremism that really wants to deny people freedom." (Fran Townsend) However, it has been too long to have a success in the goal of capturing the creeps of the 9/11 attacks. Let's get with it! After all this has been the point of this "war" all along. Correct?

The ship is sinking and it's everyman or woman for themselves, The problems remain and her role must be filled, who the next qualified individual is I have no idea, I know her responsibilities were excessive and the pressure extreme, Its difficult to guage her true success especially with FEMA as one of her responsibilities, I wish the best of success for the next individual

He needs to find someone who is good, and who is willing to serve for just 15 months. There is actually no shortage of people to fit that description, as it would look great on their resume.

Organizationally, it is a very bad sign that no replacement was announced. Ms. Townsend should have been training that person, intensively, for the last several weeks ... her job is too important and too complex for someone to just "pick up the reins."

Excellent point, but you are speaking logic or common sense. Both of which when used in conjunction with Washington, DC = oxymoron.

Incompetence in time of peace, is dereliction of duty in wartime. Mad
