When we read this we should stand and salute ! I lost an OCS classmate in 1968... another Medal of Honor recipient.

A true American hero who set the standard for courage. Why does it take the military over two years to recognize this man's valor?

We have have gone so long, doing so much, with so little, now we can do anything with nothing.

Read the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell and Patrick Robinson, it's an in depth account of this battle

There will be a monument built in honor of all the recipients of the MOH from NY state. The plans are being made now by the Westchester American Legion, VFW and VietnamVets. Now we have another hero's name to inscribe.
God bless our heroes.

My prayers go out to the families of those lost. This story, the loss of so many spec ops troopers should be the front page page of every newspaper and the leading story on every news program in this country.

But it wont. At least not in a positive sense.

Rest in Peace: Lt. Michael P. Murphy, 29, a fitting tribute for this brave young man and his team! I have met the family of this War Hero and was so very impressed with their gracious demeanor and obvious Love for their son. Daniel has chosen to have his son's memory carried forward with a scholarship in his name! What a fitting way to carry on this brave Americans Dreams! We extend our Heartfelt condolences and mourn yet another amazing young man! This family's loss is this Nation's Loss! God Speed, Michael and may you find Peace with our Lord!
