If the voters of SF had an ounce of reason; then they should overwhelmingly recall, or at the very least vote this most un-American elected city official out in his next turn at election. What San Francisco would lose financially & otherwise if the Navy opted to pull all of its facilities out & move elsewhere would be quite devastating to this metropolis, as anyone with half a brain would clearly comprehend....

This doesn't even scratch the surface of the anti military attitude San Francisco politicians and social elite have. After all it is a Nany Pelosi type of town. I don’t believe that the general population has this same attitude. I was flying in and out of Travis and would spend time in San Francisco and Sacramento and never saw this anti-military attitude while I was there of course this was 10 years ago.
Recently there have been plenty of other incidents like this that all seem to steam from one person or small group and their political attitude/bias. This was the third attempt to stop the Blue Angels. Hell, they stopped the Marine core’s silent drill team from filming a commercial. Film Commission Executive Director Stefanie Coyote would only allow the Marine's production crew to film on California Street if there were no Marines in the picture. After she said that then she made up a story about traffic concerns to which Captain Greg Corrales of the SFPD Traffic Bureau said "This -- a slap in the face of every veteran and every parent of men and women who are doing their duty -- is shameful.” What is really sad is the Military has always been there for San Francisco and will always be there for San Francisco. But some of San Francisco’s politicians and social elite think it is the “in” thing to be anti-Military.
The way San Fransisco treated the USS Iowa, Renaming streets from Army Street to Cesar Chaves Street. Groups like Al-Awda, The Middle East Children's Alliance, American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, San Francisco's Global Exchange and its subsidiary, Code Pink Women for Peace, the Bay Area Peace Navy tell the tale of the few that have managed to organize the ignorant. It is just sad to watch this city eat itself from the inside through its reckless attempts to exercise its freedoms.
It is just Sad.

This insults us as 'Californians'. Believe me folks when I say we're not all like this! The great state of California paid for my civilian education (Cal Vet. grant), at a time when the only Federal support a Vet had was VEAP. I owe my lively hood to the great state, please don't let the liberal 'minority' further taint the effort of the majority here who understand and appreciate the fact that we have what we have 'because' of our great military! This Blue Angles incident gives them a chance to just begin complaining 'again', no fault of the Angles.

Supervisor Daly is trying to appeal to a certain hard-core anti-military constituency who are NOT native San Franciscans. He attended my VFW dinner a couple of years ago and was very respectful and courteous (and supportive of the military)when he made his presentation. He should consider banning the MUNI since more people have been killed by the MUNI than killed in Blue Angels Air Shows.

Just on money alone I wish they could and I wander how it would effect Sin Fran if Fleet Week were moved to San Diego its still Cali but I believe it would be better received by another town that also has Navy and Marine Corps bases.

The scary thing is YES, he is serious. I live in the Sacramento area and hear far too much about what goes on in The City By The Bay! And I am afraid it is spreading to Sacramento.
