If OBL is succesful, it would be a nightmare if a terrorist group controls Pakistan. Imagine OBL with a nuculear arsenal! I wish this country would get serious about this GWOT. That means profiling. 80 year old grandmothers di not blow up the buildings. Just this week the ACLU filed suit to sue the FBI for spying on Muslims.(http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Sep18/0,4670,MosqueSurveillance,00.html). I think we need to build our military. We need to institue the draft. We just don't have enough people in our military! Close our borders and quit letting trucks from Mexico come over here. A lot of what I see coming out of Washington is lip service. These greedy politicians say we are in the most dangerous struggle of our time. We still haven't secured our borders. All this PC is going to rot us from within! My rant is over now. Thank you for listening

The dumb *ss is shooting himself in the foot. Musharraf has been staying away from him, now he will have to go after UBL, or authorize a major operation inside his borders for the USA.

If they have any pride and WANT TO BE HERE, they'd jump at the chance. Then a draft wouldn't be needed with the thousands of illegals coming across the border monthly! You want to be here...two things, fight for it, or do it the right way...cross the border with a valid passport, proper work visa, can speak English, and...be willing to die for your freedom for a country that will give you citizenship if you want to EARN it. i dunno, i still think Russia's restless and feeling neglected in the international conflict arena.
therefore, it's in my very humble opinion that Russia should bomb the sh*t out of N. Waziristan. If they do it, the NYTimes and world media will jump on the chance to spout their anti-American propaganda by saying Russia accomplished what we could not. But, in the end, N. Waziristan and the Pashtuns of A-Stan will have been taken out. Russia's already cozy with Iran. so, Russia securing flight rights shouldn't be a problem. however, i'm not sure where Azerbaijan stands. are they still more soviet, or islamic or democratic? if they're friendly with Russia then Azerbaijan would be a perfect launch point for Russia to attack Waziristan. Kyrgystan and Tajikistan seem a bit mountainous on the account of the Himalayas...and, I'm not an air force pilot so not sure how the topography of that region would or would not accommodate the Russian air force to attack Waziristan. |

A mere formality. OBL, like other messianic madmen, virtually "declared war" on all members of the human race who even slightly disagreed with him 20 years ago. Anyone who thinks they might not be attacked by OBL and/or his followers must be... either OBL or one of his followers. I'm expecting future OBL declarations of war on 1) Walt Disney, 2) Charlie McCarthy, 3) Des Moines, IA, 4) Pecos Bill, & 5) Life On Mars.
