The terror suspects allegedly had prepared 12 barrels of chemicals with the destructive force of 550 kilograms of TNT. The suspects have been under police survellance since December 2006 when they were discovered observing a US military base in Hanau. A total of 41 searches in four German states have been carried out in the past 24 hours in connection with the arrests.
How come I am not suprised that one day this could also happen here. Interesting is the fact that they were observed since 2006 and that they had prepared explosive material equivalent to 550 Kg of TNT.

Our friends the Germans are obviously on the ball and ready to react to good intel quickly. This is yet another kick in the crotch for those who would plot to bring terror against the free world and should be a wake up call for them to let them know that the world is no longer asleep at the switch. The ease with which the Danes and Germans have demonstrated in taking down terror cells is pretty well indicitave that Al Quaida and those of that ilk have been scraping the bottom of the barrel in finding new operatives. The latest ones appear to have had little training in keeping their objectives secret.

What disturbs me is the fact that two of the German suspects were German and not immigrants. That they were converts to Islam and radicalized shows that a page has turned in this war.

This wasnt just a slogan by Bin Laden, this has turned into a real Marketing campaign. All UGOV sites (user generated online videos) are full of campaigning material for Islam conversion. Just have a look at this "famous" youtube profile that was posted as an example in a different forum.

Great intel & security work by the Germans and all others involved. If found guilty, which seems likely, the culprits should be executed, not merely jailed. In Germany this will be a problem, the only downside after this amazing "catch."

Which part of Germany having 3000 soldiers in Afghanistan haven't you read? Just because Germany didn't back up the war in IRAQ doesn't mean they don't back up the war on TERROR. There are troops from all over Europe in Afghanistan to support the American effort to fight terrorisms. Get your facts straight before you sound off...

Read what I wrote closely. I simply stated that they chose a different battlefield, but then criticize our choice.

I didn't say a word about WW2. I commented on the Germans treatment of a people they saw as a threat. Why is the mention of one war in poor taste when talking about another? Are we to ignore lessons learned? Read carefully before sounding off!

Not 30%. Seen any muslim riots here? America was never part of the original jihadist's crusade against Christianity. Europe was and still is.
Europe is in trouble. They opened the immigration floodgates and now it's out of control. Same as the U.S., but at least the Mexicans are blowing up people and forcing a fascist religion on the host country. The muslims are trying it here with foot baths and "arab themed" PUBLIC schools, for a start.
