I am happy for the families of the hostages. However, I am sad for the next group of hostage that has yet to be taken. My guess is that it will be a group of British nationals.
Well, so much for not negotiating with terrorists, eh? It does not appear that the loss of the South Koreans will be much of a strain on the operations since they only numbered 200 or so and their work was not critical to the mission. Still, I feel that the negotiations have helped to embolden the Taliban and they will be looking to take more captives soon since this tactic is already bringing them success.
THE KOREAN GOVERMENT DID WHAT THEY HAD TO DO IN ORDER TO SECURE THEIR CITIZENS RELEASE AND MUCH WILL BE SAID BUT I FOR ONE APPLAUD THEM FOR DOING WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO GET THOSE PEOPLE RELEASED.I STRONGLY BELIEVE THEY MADE THE RIGHT MOVE BECAUSE THIS THING IN AFGANASTAN IS AN AMERICAN PROBLEM CREATED BY AMERICA WHO CHOSE TO INTERVENE IN THOSE PEOPLE PROBLEMS.
How is it that Korean missionaries kidnapped in Afghanistan is an American problem created by America? Did we force them to go there? I guess someone forgot to tell them the Taliban live there and like to kill people. I am TRULY happy for the hostages and their families. But there was REALLY no ransom paid?? Come on. Even if not, the credibility this gives will certainly lead to more funding for them. I wonder how many more roadside bombs this little negotiation will buy.

The interesting part is that the 'Talis' held 10+ Koreans captive in the heart of a 'controlled' area of Afghanistan for 3 weeks and nobody could do a dam thing to stop 'em.
Isn't it funny how within just DAYS of the Pakistani government freeing 20 Iranian "Hostages" ... suddenly the Taliban releases these South Koreans?? Not really.

(Reuters) - Monday:
Pakistani police have freed 21 Iranian hostages in a two-hour shootout with gunmen who had seized them in southeastern Iran, Pakistani and Iranian officials said on Monday.
No quid-pro-quo though, certainly not that. And, while this administration continues to send Americans to die in that Sand Heap, republican Senators look for sex in ... airport bathrooms! At least I haven't seen anyone BUT republicans getting caught in public with their hands on their glands (or someone else's), lately anyway.
