My salute to this brave soul who saved so many from a bomber. These are the heart felt stories that we rarely hear about, but should. May Allah grant him peace in his afterworld, and may others ralley behind his bravery!
Please pass on my condolences to this Iraq family for the loss of their brave son! My son is there working with coalition forces and the citizens of Iraq and he has mentioned to me how good a lot of the civilians are! He has made many Iraqi Friends and has lost many as well! I hear my sons grief when an iraq friend is lost! Terry
WOW, You don't hear of events like this happening on the media much. I'm sure alot more of this type of Iraqi support for Americans goes on daily, it's a shame the media doesn't cover it more. It's so sad this young Iraqi man had to die to save others but I think it shows the real feelings the Iraqi's have when it comes to the US being there to help them. My deepest condolances to this young man's family, he's a real hero. I pray support for our troops there continues. It's important for the Iraqi people and coalition forces to work together toward a common goal. FREEDOM, STABILITY AND PEACE.
This young man in my eyes is a Hero. It goes to show that the Iraqi people want change and are trying to help that happen. He is a brave man who deserves honor and respect for what he has done.
I was extremely moved and encouraged by this story. You hear so much negativity regarding the war and our presence in Iraq in the news and it's the actions of this young Iraqi hero that reminds us why we push on. God bless that man and his family.
The fact that things like this can happen only goes to show all Iraqis aren't on the side of the insurgents and might provide a foundation for the eventual political settlement that will have to come if Iraq is ever to become stabilised. Condolences to the family of a brave man who died saving others . . .
I am just blown away by the bravery of mankind in general. That Iraqi is a straight hero. He's just as much of a hero as the men in our troops that are fighting for our safety and the safety of the Iraqi Government.
I hope that the American's that question why we're at war at all, and believe in their heart that we're not making a difference overseas... I hope they read this with new eyes, a new heart, and an open mind.
I am thankful that relationships are being established with our people and their people because we are ALL "God's People..." and this story broke my heart.
Especially when the Iraqi's father shared his thoughts. He was proud of his son, and that just reaches deep inside me... and pulls out the love that I have for people.
And how the Word of God is true, "No greater love has he, then a man who would lay down his life for his friend..."
And now, our soldiers and their families....forever thankful for the bravery of one Iraqi man.
And this story, is amazing. I'm glad I was blessed with the opportunity to read it.
BRAVO ZULU to a very brave Iraqi...and condolences to his family...
Now if only MORE of these type stories would be printed and shown on the news...I believe incidents like these showing selfless, determined support for the US military would gain support from more of the Iraqis in a more rapid and successful manner...

This man was a true warrior of God - to lay down your life in the defense of the innocent. May Allah grant him his peace in Paradise and peace unto his family. I salute you Sir, and the others like you in Iraq!
I agree with the award also. That man is a true citizen hero. Because I don't know what religion he was, may his God bless him and comfort his family.
Like others, I am surprised that this story was reported. I am sure there are many such stories that never see the light of day from both Iraq and A'stan.
He gave the ultimate for his country. I'm sure more of these brave deeds have happened but will never hear of them over the news. God bless him and his family.
If bravery is the ability to overcome fear, then this man has shown how deep his love is for his fellow countrymen and a group of foreign soldiers. Had he lived he would probably feel that he had just done his duty, what a great man!
