RE: http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,13319,142577,00.html

It's a great thing to get the veterans/current conflict soldier's views out there, not the bias of the media and half assed politicians looking for (re)election.
People need to hear MORE from our military men and women. We have as big a battle on the homefront keeping this country properly focused.

Oh, of course Protesting is only allowed if it fits the Socialist(oops) Democrat anti-war, surrender faster than the french agenda, eh?

Please expand on Democrats wanting to surrender;

To who?

Thought SH was removed and executed and a govt was established by the Iraqis themselves, elected even.

Surrendering to that Govt, it's their country?

I have been waiting for YEARS to see something like this happen. Soon, the truth will be too obvious for ANYONE to ignore anymore. The troops overseas WILL come home again one day, you know.

And, when they return (as I did), only to find that the country they risked their lives for is actually WORSE OFF than when they left it... just you wait. They aren't going to take too kindly to that. They will NOT suffer fools kindly. And, they are not going to be satisfied with TALK. Only RESULTS will do.

And, what's the BEST way of making sure that something get's done right?! You do it yourself! That INCLUDES performing the duties of what USED to be a very noble enterprise: Running our government.

I'm telling you, the real fight hasn't even begun yet. And, to paraphase a VERY old quote "The revolution will not be televised".

This is a Republican-funded 'astro-turf' group, neither non-partisan or non-political. Contributions are not tax deductible and are routed through the same payment scheme as the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Zirkle and Hegseth are both paid republican organizers and fund raisers. While there's nothing wrong with that in and of itself, one has to wonder why they don't come clean about their ties. This is a very inaccurate statement: "Hegseth is quick to point out his organization is non-political and not affiliated with any political party." If its so important - why not tell the truth about it?

LT Hegseth went on C-SPAN the other morning, calling Kagan & Keanes' 'surge' plan the "Petraeus Doctrine", when it is neither, and then suggested that Soldiers deployed to Iraq should stay for the duration, implying that 15 months was TOO SHORT a tour. I think that's something he could say best from over there.

Although most Americans can't think for themselves or take responsibility for their own actions, I find it hillarious that Republicians will call anyone who disagrees with them a Democratic. Personally I don't need a gang of cronies to say what I think or to hide behind. Na,na,ni-na,na. My Dad can beat up your dad Argue. Wake up Sleeping and smell the coffee sonny it's time for a reality check on this "war policy". Gun

Applause Exploiting an enemies weakness is a well known strategy. That is why the principle of politics stopping at the water's edge and a single voice for foreign policy has been well honored, until now.

It's nice to know that the media is starting to cover those that actually support our military as opposed to those who don't...

From what I see of the local group of Veterans For Peace they are a lose group of misfits who are antigovernment and anti Bush to the nth degree. They have an agenda that says they support the troops but in reality they abhor the troops. Hard to believe they would turn on their own.

We have have gone so long, doing so much, with so little, now we can do anything with nothing.

So you believe Wall Street Journal, FOX News Network, talk radio, Weekly Standard, Forbes...

Refuse to cover these types of folks and similar organizations, CSPAN too?

Also, what publisher is denying publication of the books that are focused on HOW well this is going and as opposed to the many that say this War/Occupation isn't?

Yee that is without sin. The Dem's are the Kings of name calling. Anyone who disagrees with them is homophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-woman, right-wing racist. Me thinks you are a little to partial my son.

But how do you know? Because the media told you? Did they also tell you that thoses Marines accused of murder were aquitted? Nope, or if they did it was the last story on the news (the first story when they were originally accused).

Do I support these Vet's, I support the idea. Will it take off, that remains to be seen. 30 man or woman protest will only get you on the back page of local news and 10 sec spot on the 11:00 o'clock news.

Americans don't want to think, they are to worried about Parris Hilton than what is going on the Iraq. Most at this point could care less because it has no impact to there every day life.
